New Facilitator Takes on Project

August 5th

Colleen Hussy ran this workshop. As both a local artist and mental health worker, she brings great energy and community connections to the project. She had some friends come to work on the mosaics with her.

We also had one of our first drop-by participants, who also happened to be gentlemen so two birds and one stone.

The Schlackl's Chambers Street neighbour, Pam came by to help on the project and say she will be bringing by more of the Cox-Marsh family this weekend.

Slow and steady this project moves forward. Slow and steady.

Tonight we figured out that each project needs to have players like Colleen. Each project needs to have people who are willing to attend a few workshops learn how Community Unity projects work, then offer to host one themselves where they invite their networks of friends, neighbours, coworkers and family to join the project. This way people are becoming CU leaders within their own circles, teaching Community Unity to those who they are the closest too.
